ROG Swift PG279Q gaming monitor is built for victory in the professional gaming arena, and features a WQHD IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate. Integrated NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ technology synchronizes the display's refresh rate to the GPU for smooth visuals and lag-free gameplay.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tukmolly from So far the Very BestI'm very pleased with the performance of these LCD panels. I got them in preparation for the arrival of NVIDIA's GTX 1080 series. I'm using 3 of these in NVIDIA surround and powered by a custom liquid cooled X79 system with 3 GTX Titans in 3-way SLI. So far, racing games work well with the high refresh rates of 120 and 144hz. The difference between these panels and my previous triple Dell U3014s is night and day. Although smaller in total screen area than the 30 inch Dells, the very high refresh rates of >144hz really make it easy on the eyes. Truly, you have to experience 144hz, Gsync surround gaming to understand what PC gaming is all about. I have both a 34 inch curved display and a 40 inch 4K panel, running @ 60hz.. None of these two screen platforms compare to a fully realized 144hz surround experience..with Gsync. BF3 plays very very well with my current hardware, as well as the Batman, Max Payne and Bioshock series. You'll definitely need the Pascal cards to play the rest of the newer triple AAA titles in Gsync surround. Overall, I'm very pleased with my transition to these ROG IPS panels. If you have the dough, just buy 3 of them...You'll see what I mean. Oh, and yes, these IPS panels do come free with annoying backlight bleed especially in the lower areas of the screen..but still ok enough.
